Accessing the Library

Building Map

  • There are floor plan maps visible on each floor of Computer Sciences near the main elevators and stairways.

Entrances

  • The Robinson Map Library is temporarily located in Rooms 2281 and 2310 in Phases II and III of Computer Sciences. Visitors will enter through room 2281 (2nd floor of Phase II).
  • There is an entrance / exit to Computer Sciences via Orchard St. as well as W. Dayton St. Elevators are accessible to reach the second floor of Phase II, Computer Sciences.
  • All entrances are equipped with automatic doors.

Elevators

  • There is an elevator that goes to all floors of Phase II in Computer Sciences.
  • Enter from W. Dayton St. and immediately turn left through a set of double doors to access the elevator.
  • Enter from Orchard St. and follow the main ramp to the center of the building and turn right – go through the set of doors, and turn right again to the double doors that open to the elevator.

Parking & Transportation

Emergency / Evacuation Procedures

  • There are evacuation procedure maps on each floor and inside all main offices/spaces in Computer Sciences.

Interior Space Accessibility

Quiet Spaces

  • The Map Library is one large open room and (in general) not a quiet space.

Restrooms

  • Restrooms are located on every floor in Computer Sciences.

Lighting

The main map/aerial photo room (rm 2310) in the library has motion sensor lighting.
